Valentine’s Day Hair that Rocks
It’s that time of year again. We get that warm and fuzzy feeling and suddenly mushy cards, teddy bears and roses are all we can think about. If you’re lucky enough to have a significant other to celebrate Valentines with, then you’ve probably been thinking about your upcoming date night on the 14th. If you’re a bit stuck for inspiration, we have come up with some ideas to set your heart aflutter. We’re not going gooey-eyed though, instead we thought Valentine’s Day 2017 should be more cheeky than cheesy, so get your red lippy out and get ready to style it up the Bria way. 🙂

Half the fun of Valentine’s day is the beauty routine that goes with it. It’s the ideal time to try something new and funky, but the key to irresistible hair is keeping your look fresh, natural and touchable. Valentine’s day isn’t just for couples either, it’s all about spending time with the people you love, be it friends, family or your other half. Whoever you choose to spend it with, who needs an excuse to make their hair look gorgeous?

Valentines Date Idea: Curl up on the sofa with a huge tub of popcorn and your loved one. Also known as Netflix and chill hehe.
Sounds dreamy, but just because you’re not going out, doesn’t mean that you should forget your hair. If you thought braids were just for little girls, then think again. They can make a simple style look glamourous in minutes and it’s a fairly easy look to achieve. Braids can look seriously sexy, or pretty and dainty, it’s really up to you to decide what look you’re after. We heart the fishtail braid. You can opt for a degree of messiness without having to worry, and the side swept look with a smokey eye combo looks fab with your jammies or a dress.

Valentines Date Idea: Romantic Home cooked meal at home
Opting for a low key but intimate evening with your other half requires a practical but fun look. We think that this heart shaped bun is a funky twist on the classic up do which really rocks! It’s super easy to style, simply use elasticated hairbands to manipulate a hair donut into a heart shape and then style into a bun as normal.

Don’t forget to spritz on an alluring scent around your neckline, he’ll be eating out of the palm of your hand in no time.
Valentines Date Idea: Dinner and Dancing
Lucky you. If you are being wined and dined this Valentines, then you are looking for some serious glam. What better way than curls or waves. Naturally effortless, tumbling waves require some effort but it’s worth it. If you’re not blessed with long and lustrous hair, then opt for some hair extensions. Get up close and personal with your straighteners or curling irons, and gently tease waves with your fingers finishing with a spritz of hairspray. Don’t forget your favourite red lipstick to finish the look!

Valentines Date Idea: Hardcore Activity
If you think Valentines is too mushy for you, why not go on an activity date instead? There’s loads of adrenaline fuelled experiences available these days from ice-skating, rock climbing or maybe even zorbing (head over heels, quite literally!) there’s something to float everyone’s boat. A slicked back pony is a good practical option that will keep your hair tidy and look sexy at the same time.

Remember to take a section of hair from your ponytail to wrap around the hairband, keeping the look completely smooth and coordinated.
P.S. Remember your rouge lipstick x

Hopefully you’ll have a Valentine’s day to remember, some of us may even get a proposal! So, don’t forget to check back next week for our engagement special focusing on engagement party hair with some of our favourite proposal stories.
